FARR(AH): Journal of Iranian Culture, Art, and Literature is an international, open-access, and double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes research and critical review articles in English. The journal is published three times per year and provides a dedicated platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners interested in the diverse and rich heritage of Iranian culture, art, and literature.
FARR(AH) aims to foster an interdisciplinary dialogue that explores the historical and contemporary aspects of Iranian cultural expressions and their impact on global discourse. The journal welcomes both qualitative and quantitative research, as well as critical reviews that bridge theory and practice, contributing to a deeper understanding of Iran’s literary, artistic, and cultural traditions. Special emphasis is given to studies that provide insights for academics, artists, cultural policymakers, and practitioners in related fields.
We invite contributions that address, but are not limited to, the following areas:
- Iranian Literature: Classical and contemporary Persian literature, poetry, literary criticism, and translation studies.
- Iranian Art and Aesthetics: Traditional and modern Iranian visual arts, calligraphy, architecture, music, cinema, and performing arts.
- Cultural History and Heritage: The historical development of Iranian cultural and artistic movements, their influences, and global interactions.
- Philosophy and Thought: Persian philosophical traditions, Sufism, and intellectual contributions to global philosophy.
- Iranian Society and Identity: The sociological, anthropological, and historical dimensions of Iranian identity and cultural transformation.
- Language and Linguistics: Persian language studies, dialectology, and the impact of Persian on other languages and cultures.
The editorial team is committed to publishing high-quality, innovative research that enriches the academic discourse on Iranian culture, art, and literature. We also welcome proposals for thematic issues and scholarly commentaries.
